- Danceable synth-pop
The motivation of these four mates is simple: "We play music, we want to dance, we want you to join in the party, crack, boom, pow!". Founded in 2010, they got the name Foreign Diplomats from an airport poster on their way back home from a trip to Mexico. The group’s indie pop sound soon caught the attention of the Indica Records label, who also represent Misteur Valaire and Half Moon Run. Catchy, as danceable as you like, their pop has a happy melancholia about it that is personified by Élie Raymond’s theatrical singing. Just like a friend taking you by the hand after a long, late-summer’s evening to go and watch the sun rising.
