Pogo Car Crash Control

  • France
  • Punk-grunge convulsion

Lésigny, in Seine-et-Marne. Its golf course, its stud, its château. A priori, not the most rock’n’roll of environments. And yet, this is the town that houses Pogo Car Crash Control, four musicians aged about twenty, who play some very noisy grunge. Teetering at the edge of agony at the end of each concert, P3C blast out grunge rock, enraged and convulsive in the same vein as Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine and Mudhoney. Their punk sound is both shrill and full of audio feedback and reflects their juvenile impetuosity. The French lyrics, steely and without concession, talk of egoism and more broadly, about everything that gets on their nerves. Grunge is not dead.
