- Refreshing pop mischief
What kind of sauce do you want with your chips? A bit of Angèle please. The new gourmet dish of Belgian pop, that’s her. Consecrated by Damso and Ibeyi, for whom she played support, the sister of rapper Roméo Elvis recounts with humour and a divinely jazzy voice La Loi de Murphy: an oddball ode to the slice of bread that always falls butter-side down. In a package mixing English, French and self-mockery, she juggles ably with elements of pop, chanson, R’n’B and electro with a deliciously mischievous and arty twist. Yummy.
