Tshegue or the meeting of Nicolas Dacunha, a native of the Paris suburbs and Faty Sy Savanet, born in Kinshasa. Things started to click as soon as they met. Mixing Congolese rumba with New York funk punk and electro and rhythm & blues beats, the EP Survivor tells the story of a woman uprooted, her feet planted in asphalt, her head turned towards her ancestral soil. Their afro-punk, with its intense phrasing and tribal tendencies, boosted by epileptic electro rhythms, is steeped in bitumen. Black and white, arty and catchy, DIY and ghetto blaster, everything seems possible as all these ingredients produce a liberating trance that touches both body and soul.
