  • Sublimation rock lo-fi

Maarten Devoldere is Warhaus. Under this pseudonym, the singer of the group Balthazar has embarked on a solo rock project with a panoply of lo-fi sounds unmistakably reminiscent of the 60s. Now forming a duet with Sylvie Kreusch, he produces a haunting mix of seduction and brutality in a single breath. With the sublime Love's A Stranger, we bathe in the long shadows of the likes of Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave and Tom Waits. The duo plunges us into a world of exacerbated romanticism and elegantly nonchalant lyrics that evoke intimacy, darkness and breath-taking sensuality.
