From the look of the album cover, on which we see him climbing a cliff face, and the almost war-like sounds he uses as a background for his powerful flow, Christy Campbell – alias Admiral T – seems to have chosen an appropriate title for his latest album, "Instinct Admiral". After becoming a star in the French West Indies, this native of Guadeloupe with his politically committed message skilfully reworks dancehall reggae by injecting a dose of Creole music, zouk and soca. He makes good use of a number of artistic collaborations notably from the world of hip hop and R&B, as can be heard on "Viser la victoire" in the company of French rappers La Fouine and Médine. Let eclecticism reign in the universe of sound systems!
