Cie Une de Plus in “Le Théâtre de la Greluche, version longue”

France

This completely whacky show, made from bits and pieces, reveals three actors doing their best to honour their contract and last the full 50 minutes of the play. Choreographies, “improvised” singing, recitals from Victor Hugo, poetic and musical interludes performed by puppets, of which they are fiercely possessive. Everything goes when it comes to filling in the gaps in the play. They perform a succession of numbers with ingenious skill, improvising, and yet totally mastering their show from beginning to end. Poetry, violence, tenderness, comedy, derision - the Théâtre de la Greluche, a crazy, incredible show to be enjoyed with several tongues in cheek. (Thursday to Sunday)
