Ibrahim Maalouf is one of the most gifted contemporary jazz musicians. At the age of 31, he has already walked off with his share of awards and collaborated with countless other artists (from Sting to Lhasa not to mention M, Juliette Gréco and Vincent Delerm). This highly innovative trumpeter, who specialises in the quarter-tone trumpet invented by his father, is also a composer, and arranger, and loves nothing better than breaking down musical barriers and mixing avant-garde jazz with oriental music, swing, electro, contemporary European music, rock, jazz-funk and even rap.
