Jean Pierre Estournet is a self-taught photographer and has been working for major street thetare festivals since 1991. His encounter with Footsbarn in 1988 encouraged him to acquire a laboratory-truck and a caravan-home, equipement which meant he could share the nomadic lifestyle of numerous contemporary travelling theatre and circus troupes. From 1995 onwards, he has been accompanying Footsbarn Theatre on a regular basis driung their travels to India, Syria and West Africa. You can meet Jean-Pierre Estournet at the Ruche, as he darts from one concert or activity to the next in this performing space, capturing a huge variety of faces and actions through his camera lense. He will be exhibiting his work each day in the very space that he shot the photos.
