Les Petits Chanteurs à la Gueule de Bois (Little singers with a hangover)
At "La Ruche" on Satuday at 9.30 p.m., on the Festival site and at "La Pl'Asse" every day
Who'd have thought that just a few scribbled words on a sheet of paper could lead to such a story? A dash of caustic, gently irreverent humour and lots of tenderness and laughter. Hidden discretely behind the name of the group are four impassioned musicians, four very different characters, who, once they get together, pool their energy to give life to songs full of comic freshness and frankness. They sing in chorus, backed by a double bass, a guitar and drums and sometimes also by a banjo, an accordion, a harmonium and a second guitar. The result is some very festive music, played with insolence and genuine comradeship. The repertoire is original, the lyrics are in French, the performances generous and pleasure is guaranteed.
