Lindy Hop

Switzerland

Jérôme Cadoret and Ana Barros, impassioned creators and dancers at the association GenevaSwing, are pleased to present to you that crazy dance from the thirties: the Lindy Hop. A clever mix of comedy, madness and theatre and, above all, jazz performed with frenzy. Born in New-York at Harlem’s Savoy Ballroom, it consists of the Charleston, the Jitteburg and the Black Bottom. Forming the basis of many dances such as the Boogie-Woogie, Rock’n Roll and West Coast Swing, it enjoyed a renaissance in 1980’s Sweden and in England and is today danced by enthusiasts all over the world.
