Okou is the result of a true musical love story! Born to a French father and Ivory Coast mother, she now lives in Paris. Half Swiss, half Egyptian, he lives between Basel and Berlin. But a chance encounter brought them together. Since then, the voice of Tatiana Heinz and the strings of Gilbert Trefzger seem drawn to each other like opposite poles of two magnets. Subtle playing in which guitar, oud and banjo provide magnificent backing to a warm, intimate voice. Different origins blending together and a perfect mutual understanding have provided the ingredients for the creation of a very intimate debut album, “Serpentine”, a collection of acoustic soul folk numbers that will be a joy to discover live.
