Roger Hodgson
With a flamboyant career stretching over more than 40 years, Roger Hodgson belongs to that category of songwriters and composers called "genius". As one of the "thinking heads" of Supertramp until 1983, the man with the Fender Rhodes composed and still sings the best of the many planetary hits produced by the group, including the legendary "Breakfast in America", "The Logical Song", "Take the Long Way Home", "Dreamer", "School" and "Hide in Your Shell". At the heart of these universal prog rock songs, the unmistakable hand of Hodgson is ever-present: intelligent song writing, artistic rigour, and catchy melodies. As a solo act backed by a first class band, the Englishman invites his audience to explore the history of a musical heritage that is familiar to each and every one of us in one way or another.
