Shaka Ponk dream of inventing the sound of the future, grinding out a mixture of heavy guitars, heart stimulating beats, tribal rhythms, ethnic ambiances and vocoded hip-hop ragga flows. In the space of two albums, the Parisian collective have established themselves with their mutant lyrics sung in a kind of home-made Esperanto, their powerful (noise music) strike capability and their multimedia effects, including their virtual mascot, the monkey Goz - almost a full member of the group. Their third album is set to be released in July: so they will be playing their latest tracks full blast at the Festival, for our immense listening pleasure!
