Stevans
In 2003, the versatile Yvan Franel made the acquaintance of bass player Bruno Trancredi. Completed the following year by drummer-percussionist John Chirico, the group from Geneva had found its definitive line-up and started in style with music that places them somewhere between Franz Ferdinand and Stereophonics. Lyrics in English, brisk melodies with the occasional welcome hint of nonchalance, such is Stevans’ musical identity. An approach that they have recently perfected on their latest album – “Fake” – with the help of English producer Will Jackson, who previously worked with Kaiser Chiefs.
In collaboration with ETEP.
