Theophilus London

Groove/Hip Hop/Reggae

He is the latest in a line of new talent from the New York hip-hop scene. Theophilus London comes from Brooklyn and likes to mix genres. His first album, "Timez Are Weird These Days", is very much inspired by the American hip-hop tradition and by r’n’b, but, more surprisingly, also owes much to the influence of electronic music and rock (Kraftwerk, The Smiths). All these influences, reworked by that incomparable American production style, are concentrated in the throat of this New York rapper and leap out like some crazy Jack-in-the Box out of a Big Mac carton.
