Campsite and la Pl'Asse

The Paléo Campsite is open from midday on Monday 16 July until midday on Monday 23 July. Access is limited to Festival ticket and pass holders. On presentation of your valid Festival ticket or pass, you will receive a bracelet from the “Contremarques” window (next to “l'Acceuil” in the reception area) giving you access to the Campsite for the whole week. The bracelet for the 4, 5 and 6-day passes is also valid as an access pass to the Camping. Children and young people under the age of 16 who are not accompanied by an adult are not admitted to the campsite.

Reception, information and left-luggage office

The reception centre at the Campsite is open day and night, 24h/24h. It provides all useful information for life on the campsite, has a lost and found service and can be used as a left-luggage counter for your luggage or valuables (CHF 3.- per object). It also sells phone cards and offers a mobile phone recharge service, provided you bring your own charger.

Assistance, security and safety

In the event of theft or other security problem, please go to the campsite reception. The volunteer staff will take all necessary measures and give you any information you may require. In the event of serious problems or emergencies, the reception centre at the campsite and the first aid unit are there to help you 24h/24h. Assistance and a sympathetic ear are on hand from several organisations all localised at the “Autour de Minuit” stall. To prevent fire risk, the use of pyrotechnic objects (fireworks etc.) is forbidden within the campsite and in the car parks.

The installation of makeshift camping structures measuring more than 3 metres, of couches and other furniture is, for the same reasons, forbidden.

The emergency phone number of the Festival's central security office is: 022 365 11 17.

Camper vans

  • Area reserved for camper vans and caravans, no tents allowed
  • Opening hours for camper vans zone: 9 a.m. – 9.p.m. (except for Monday 16: noon - 9 p.m.)

Only dormer vehicles will be allowed into this area. Cars, station wagons, commercial vans and any other vehicles not intended for use as accommodation, will not be admitted. Vehicles that are considered to present a risk in terms of safety or hygiene will also be excluded.
Cars pulling caravans must leave once they have deposited the caravan. At the checkpoint, situated at the entrance to this area, a sticker will be issued to those vehicles qualifying for access to the zone. These steps are intended to make it easier to manage the campsite area and also to improve your comfort.

Animals

For health and safety and animal welfare reasons it is prohibited to take animals on to either the Festival site or the campsite.

Rubbish and environment

The Festival has adopted a policy based on individual responsibility in the area of environmental protection. Please therefore sort glass, PET bottles, cans and plastic drinking cups. The Ecopoint on the campsite (see plan) can provide you with bags/bin-liners for sorting. You can also sell back your empty glass bottles (50 cents/kg).

Showers and toilets

You have access to paying hot showers for CHF 4.- per shower (CHF16.- for 5 showers). The showers are accessible from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday 16 to Sunday 22. A number of toilets facilities are at your disposal all over the campsite. Toilets for the disabled, situated at the rear of the campsite, are available on request. Please ask at the campsite reception area.

Drugs

Swiss and local Vaud legislation strictly prohibit the selling, consuming and possession of all narcotics, including cannabis. We would remind you that the cantonal drugs squad maintains a presence on the Festival site and on the campsite and prosecutes offenders.

Other services

The campsite offers you all essential services during your stay. A bar, a bakery, a bar serving non-alcoholic drinks open 24h/24h, a play area as well as a massage and wellness area (“Espace Evasion”) are at your disposal. Firewood is available free of charge next to the Robinson (Lausanne side of the campsite), every day from 10.30 a.m. to midday. In the event of exceptionally dry weather, the lighting of fires may be forbidden.

La Pl'Asse
