Since the Canton of Vaud law banning smoking in public places (LIFLP) came into force, the organisers of Paléo Festival have introduced a policy aimed at guaranteeing the respect and comfort of all spectators.

General regulations

• The following areas are designated no-smoking:
  • All covered performing areas & stages
  • Le Chapiteau
  • Le Dôme
  • Le Club Tent
  • Le Détour
  • The marquees in La Ruche
• La Galerie, closed and covered space
• La Luciole (creche)
• The Mielimélo play area, for children aged 6 to 12

In all, some 8% of the surface of the Festival site will be covered by the no-smoking ban.

In all other areas of the Festival, whether open-air or covered, smoking is tolerated.
