Here’s some classical music in all its prestige and beauty with Rimsky-Korsakov’s Sheherazade, a masterpiece of the romantic repertoire. This work, based on the folk tales of the One Thousand and One Nights, will captivate Paléo as much as Sultan Shahriar was captivated by Scheherazade’s tales. It’ll be preceded by Camille Saint-Saëns’ Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso for violin and orchestra. Led by the talented and renowned conductor Baldur Brönnimann, the Orchestre des Hautes écoles de musique de Suisse romande will be joined by students from the pre-professional courses in Geneva, Lausanne and Neuchâtel. An exceptional moment of music in perspective.
Conductor: Baldur Brönnimann
Soloist: Aisha Corona Aguilar, student at the HEMU
