Paléo is a VERY big family of 5'500 volunteers. The Festival is built on an associative model and a decentralised organisation where every contribution matters.
By joining the adventure, each volunteer plays a key role in the success of an extraordinary cultural project. It is an intense collective experience that allows you to develop new skills, meet incredible people and enjoy a timeless week at the heart of the backstage of Switzerland’s largest festival.

Being a volunteer means living a powerful human experience, discovering the backstage of one of Europe’s major festivals and sharing unique moments with a passionate community. A Festival like Paléo brings together an incredible diversity of talents and skills. There is no such thing as a typical day here. Whether you are handy, a maths genius or simply motivated and available, there is definitely a place for you. Every mission helps keep the Festival’s heart beating.
There is truly everything you can imagine. Dozens of sectors offer very different experiences: construction, fencing, bar service, cleaning, access control, audience or artist reception, camping, communication and more. There is necessarily a role that fits your availability and your motivation.
Each sector manager enjoys a great deal of freedom to build their team and directly recruit their volunteers. Recruitment is therefore often carried out through contacts and personal affinities. However, it is also possible to submit a spontaneous application. The registration form goes online in spring (late April or early May).
