The team

Paléo is prepared all year long!

The organisation of the Festival is a large community active 365 days a year.

In total, more than 5'000 people dedicate their time, most of them as volunteers, to offer the audience the most beautiful festival in the world.

Volunteers

The soul of the Festival, 5'500 people

Volunteers are the beating heart of Paléo. They make the construction of this temporary city possible. Active at every level, often for several weeks before and after the event, they are essential to the Festival’s smooth operation. Most of them return year after year.

The Festival Organising Committee

The operational team, 120 people

The Festival Organising Committee (COF) ensures the operational management of Paléo throughout the year. Made up of around one hundred volunteer or salaried team leads, it meets in assembly and its members work within various commissions. Major decisions are taken collectively and address all areas: site development, audience services, volunteer engagement and budgeting. The COF is the backbone of the Festival’s production.

The Paléo Arts & Spectacles Association

The strategic body, 150 active members

The Paléo Arts & Spectacles Association is the guardian of the Festival’s values. It focuses primarily on long-term strategy. It brings together several bodies including the General Assembly, the Committee and the Governance Council. Together, they ensure the preservation of Paléo’s identity and guide its vision far into the future.

The Office

The permanent team, 50 people

The permanent office consists of around fifty staff members who prepare the Festival throughout the year. This team, made up of experts from many fields and event‑industry professionals, ensures project follow‑up and collaborates with the volunteer managers.

Each year, around ten interns join the team, strengthening this dynamic and contributing to the collective success of the event.
