Paléo is a unique voyage filled with music, celebration, encounters and flavours, all set in a spectacular environment.
The destination is the now iconic “Plaine de l’Asse” in Nyon, accessible with no luggage and no passport required. For one week, it becomes a human-scale temporary city and an extraordinary playground.
Voted Best Major Festival in Europe in 2025, Paléo has crafted +250 days of celebration, welcomed +4'000 artists and brought together nearly 8 million visitors.
A landmark event in Europe, Paléo presents a giant programme of 200 concerts and shows across 8 stages.
Both a springboard for emerging artists and a platform for internationally acclaimed headliners, the Festival embraces all musical genres as well as circus and street arts. The programme is carefully curated by a passionate team travelling the world in search of new discoveries. It is designed for a wide audience where five generations come together.
With 250,000 festival‑goers, Paléo is one of the largest festivals in Europe and one of the biggest cities in Switzerland.
During its six days and six nights, it welcomes more inhabitants than Bern, the Swiss capital. It offers all modern comforts: restaurants, shops, camping, a bakery and even childcare services. A community of 5'500 volunteers and around one hundred HES-SO students bring spectacular infrastructures to life.

Around one hundred food stands, selected by our dedicated food programmer, offer an immense choice for food lovers and hungry visitors. Finger food, world cuisines, traditional dishes and gourmet restaurants are all within reach and suited to every budget.
Spread across 80 hectares, Paléo is a vast playground and a place for extraordinary discoveries.
Covering 80 hectares, the Festival site is a vast playground unlike any other. Towering constructions, poetic decorations, playful activities and many surprises await. Visitors come for the music, but also to immerse themselves in an experience beyond time. The Village du Monde district invites visitors to discover a new culture each year, while La Ruche delights children and grown-ups with moments of wonder. The experience is complete.
A place for social inclusion with 40 socio‑cultural associations and several charitable organisations.
Paléo is a space for social experimentation. The Festival redistributes part of its revenue to local associations, develops accessibility measures for people with reduced mobility or visual impairments, and supports several charitable partners. Our aim is to include all audiences around a unifying and supportive project. Paléo also supports local socio-cultural initiatives through its Equiléo Foundation.
A large‑scale cultural sustainability laboratory committed to reducing its ecological footprint.
Paléo tests and implements numerous measures to reduce its environmental impact. From the use of green energy (already in 2006) to sophisticated waste-sorting systems and reusable tableware, as well as the creation of a solar farm, Paléo is a pioneer in many areas. The team uses the Festival as a cultural sustainability laboratory for its own future, but also to support the sector’s transition by sharing its know-how.
A multi‑award‑winning event, Paléo was elected Best European Festival in 2025.
Paléo has received many distinctions in Switzerland and abroad (Best Major Festival 2025, Lifetime Achievement Award for Daniel Rossellat 2018, Best Medium-Sized Festival 2017). It is especially recognised for its audience services and safety standards (Industry Champion Award 2025, Health and Safety Innovation Award 2018 and 2014) as well as for its sustainability policy (Community Action Award 2025, Greener Festival 2024). In 2025, Paléo was voted Best Major Festival by both the public and industry professionals at the European Festival Awards.
