At the crossroads of bass music and Moroccan heritage, Nashwa carve out a world of their own. The duo, vocalist Ghizlane Melih and producer Alix Pilot, entwine traditional chants and Moroccan folklore with electronic production steeped in trip-hop and dubstep. Her voice, expansive and possessed, moves in dialogue with dark, percussive textures built for the body. Nashwa means ecstasy, trance, and live, the word becomes tangible: tradition and rave collide in a single surge, physical and incandescent.
