Dark Folk

SKÁLD summon Scandinavia into the present. Their name harks back to the ancient skalds, Viking poets who sang of gods, battles and fallen heroes in the great halls of the North, and, in their own way, they carry that torch forward. Their chants ring out like incantations, driven by ancestral instruments, Old Norse texts and an almost shamanic intensity. More than a concert, SKÁLD offer a passage through elemental landscapes: windswept moors, deep forests, runes and forgotten sagas. A mystical immersion where the gods still seem to whisper on the wind.
