Bab L’ Bluz was born of a shared passion between Moroccan singer Yousra Mansour and French multi-instrumentalist Brice Bottin, both fascinated by Gnawa music and its mysterious bass plucked traditional lute, the guembri. The magic comes to life when, electric guembris in hand, they summon the ancient spirits of the Moroccan desert. The mesmerising beats of Gnawa trance mingle with Hassani chants and chaabi polyrhythms, giving birth to a psychedelic rock rooted in the musical traditions of the Sahara.
