Heir to a prestigious line of Moorish griots, Noura Mint Seymali accompanies her deep voice on the ardin, a traditional harp historically reserved for women. The result is intensely spiritual. Her declarations of faith transport the audience into a transcendent musical dimension where ancestral sounds from the Sahara, the Maghreb, and West Africa intertwine. Although rooted in a precious tradition, Seymali reinvents her art by adding blues and rock influences for a psychedelic result.
