200,000 party-goers join in the Festival's 20th birthday celebrations. Amongst the presents, a fourth stage known as the Dome, a site which now spreads comfortably over an area of 100,000 sq. m., and a very special guest, kept secret till the very last minute: the legendary Bob Dylan. Bashung, Neneh Cherry and Cesaria Evora also join in the festivities. Techno makes an unsuccessful first appearance during a special evening organised under the Chapiteau.
