Visas

The Artist is solely responsible for obtaining any required visas and for all related costs.

Upon request, the Festival can provide a letter of invitation or any supporting documents needed to facilitate applications made to Swiss or Schengen Consulat authorities abroad.

Switzerland is part of the Schengen Area. If you are unsure whether you require a visa, please consult the official information provided by the Swiss Confederation on this link.

Local transportation

Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the Festival provides local transportation within a 50 km radius of the Festival site for international artists (Geneva or Lausanne train stations, Geneva Airport).

Covered transfers include:

  • airport ↔ hotel
  • train station ↔ hotel 
  • hotel ↔ Festival site

Festival drivers cannot be requested for private shopping unrelated to the performance.

Special vehicle requests are at the Artist’s cost.

International travel arrangements also remain the Artist’s responsibility.

Accommodation

Paléo has preferential rates at hotels near the Festival. The Production team will contact you to help you find rooms if needed.

Access Pass

The Festival will provide the Artist with the necessary access passes in the form of badges and/or wristbands for the performance day and stage access.

Only passes issued by the Festival are valid.

The Festival respects the privacy of dressing rooms and stage areas and will issue “All Access” badges only to essential Festival staff members.

All passes will be handed to the Artist’s tour manager by the Festival Production Office upon arrival.

Artist guest

Unless otherwise agreed in the contract, the Artist is entitled to one invitation per touring person, valid on the day of the performance.

The guestlist form will be provided to the tour manager upon arrival and must be completed and returned to the Production Office before 3 PM on show day. Guest names may also be submitted in advance by email at: bureauprod@paleo.ch

Tickets can be picked up by guests (upon presentation of an ID) at the accreditation desk next to main entrance after 3 PM on show day.

Dressing rooms/Backstage :

Dressing rooms are located in the backstage area, strictly reserved for artists, with no public access.

Each group is provided with one or several dressing rooms, depending on the number of people on tour.

Keys will be handed to the Artist’s tour manager upon arrival.

Dressing rooms are equipped with:

  • Chairs and tables
  • Mirrors
  • Lighting
  • Power outlets (230V)
  • Towels (upon advance request)
  • WIFI access
  • WC and shower facilities located within the dressing room area

Dressing room staff is at the Artist’s disposal from his arrival upon his departure.

Catering & Artist restaurant

Dressing Room Catering:

The dressing room area includes a bar reserved for artists, offering mineral water, soft drinks, fruit juices, beer, wine, tea and coffee.

Requests from your hospitality rider will be considered as much as possible, according to the following principles:

  • Prioritizing local, fresh and seasonal products from organic regional producers.
  • Avoiding, or replacing with local alternatives, products requiring unreasonable transport.
  • Adjusting quantities to reduce waste.

Water Stations:

To reduce plastic use backstage, several water fountains are available for you to refill your bottles or flasks.

Artist Restaurant:

The Festival provides lunch and dinner at the Artist Restaurant outside the public zone.

The restaurant is reserved for artists, their crews and travel parties only, and is open non-stop from 11:00 to midnight. It offers table service with a variety of à‑la‑carte options: vegetarian dishes, fish, meat and salads.

A meal ticket is required for any hot meal. Tickets will be handed to the tour manager upon arrival..

The Festival also provides breakfast on request, between 08:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

Laundry and dry cleaning:

The Festival does not have on-site laundry facilities but provides an external laundry service at the Artist’s cost.

Laundry items are collected upon arrival (strictly before noon) by the dressing room staff. Costs are settled directly when items are returned (late afternoon).

A dry-cleaning service is also available through the Festival drivers, at the Artist’s cost.

Merchandising

You can sell your merchandising after show from the pit. The festival is operating without cash, please bring your own debit/credit card terminal.

Press

The Festival’s Press Office works to ensure the Artist’s performance receives the best possible media coverage.

Journalists, photographers and radio/TV crews are accredited strictly for editorial purposes.

The Artist is kindly asked to contribute to a good visibility on both his performance and the festival and consider media requests favourably.

Festival photo policy:

  • songs 1, 2 and 3
  • no flash
  • from the pit (between the stage and crash barriers)

Any additional media rights (e.g., video broadcasting) will be handled in a separate agreement.
