The poster for the next festival is an invitation to immerse yourself in the energy of the crowd, under the floodlights! The result of a workshop run by BaseDesign with students from HEAD – Genève, Geneva University of Art and Design, the 2025 poster invites you to dive into the crowd and its infectious energy. Designed by artist and musician Chiara Pugliese, currently studying for a BA in Illustration, it features an explosion of colour using pastels and Neocolor.
The result is dazzling, gushing, and fiendishly effective, thanks to an interplay of textures, colours, and shapes that flirt with abstraction. At the heart of the poster lies the incredible energy of Paléo’s community, not forgetting a series of clever nods to the Festival’s iconic infrastructures.
“This graphic and colourful aesthetic is a playful and ultra-vibrant take on Paléo. The so-called ‘traditional’ pastel work helped me infuse the poster with a feeling of spontaneity, playing with Paléo’s iconic structures while at the same time offering an abstract rendering, evoking the crowds and spotlights on Plaine de l’Asse,” explains Chiara Pugliese.
“With this poster, I wanted to honour Paléo’s audience. The colourful, floodlit crowds represent the incredible physical energy and the vibrant atmosphere of the live shows. It was essential for me to put the audience centre stage and to visually express the Festival’s unique atmosphere,” adds Pugliese.
