20 years already!
On the occasion of its 49th edition, Paléo Festival Nyon celebrates two decades of collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Western Switzerland (HES-SO). Twenty years of shared spirit, innovation and inspired creativity, embodied this summer by "Enigmatik", a spectacular science fiction-inspired project promising audiences an encounter of the third kind.
A landmark partnership for innovation
For twenty editions, HES-SO has partnered with Paléo as its innovation partner. This emblematic collaboration has left a lasting mark on the Plaine de l'Asse: immersive infrastructures, bold installations, interactive features and a spotlight on local emerging musical talent. Every summer, students from across French-speaking Switzerland commit to this unique interdisciplinary project. Their creativity and dedication have made the HES-SO space at Paléo a must-visit destination.
« Enigmatik » : mystery, vertigo and… beyond !
To mark this anniversary, HES-SO is offering a cosmic experience. Students from around fifteen universities of applied sciences will take over Paléo with "Enigmatik", bringing unusual experiences and performances to the festival. The project also features a forward-looking musical programme, with emerging ensembles from HES-SO's music schools. In total, six groups will perform on the Face Nord stage, at the heart of the scenography.
A science fiction-inspired scenography
Good heavens, a UFO! A true cosmic theatre, a science fiction-inspired structure will host performances, concerts and all manner of close encounters of the third kind. Light effects, intriguing forms and immersive atmospheres will create a sensory universe where everyone is free to interpret signals from elsewhere. At times, all sense of orientation will falter, as if the stage itself had broken free from gravity... A retrospective rounds out the experience.
