Health and Safety Innovation Award (2018)

The Paléo Festival was awarded the “Health and Safety Innovation Award” during the ceremony of the European Festival Awards presented by the Eurosonic Festival and YOUROPE, the European festival association counting more than 90 members representing 27 countries. This award recognizes an idea or a project that improves the safety of festivals. This year, the prize was shared between Paléo and the Roskilde Festival (DK) who collaborated on a project against hostile vehicles, a system consisting of trees planted in giant pots, or potted-trees. These are very simple but effective measures that integrate very well in a wider urban planning concept.


Lifetime Achievement Award / Daniel Rossellat (2018)

Daniel Rossellat, founder and president of Paléo Festival Nyon, was honoured with a “Lifetime Achievement Award”, during the European Festival Awards ceremony. This honour is dedicated to an “individual whose personal vision and energy has propelled the entire festival marketplace forward in a dynamic, creative and positive way”. The award is a confirmation of the organisation’s policy in respect of the quality of comfort and hospitality offered to the public. 


Best Medium-Sized Festival Award (2017)

Paléo Festival received the "Best Medium-Sized Festival Award" during the European Festival Awards ceremony. This prize is in recognition of Paléo Festival Nyon’s position as a halfway-house between party and concerts, an eclectic event that has distinguished itself by the quality of its reception of the public and its success in satisfying the curiosity of the audience, the discovery of new talent and the promotion of less well-known musical genres. More than 350 festivals were in contention at the European Festival Awards. The category Best Medium-Sized Festival is defined by the daily crowd capacity (up to 50’000 festivalgoers per day), and highlights the specific identities of the festivals.


Health and Safety Innovation Award (2014)

Paléo Festival was rewarded with the "Health and Safety Innovation Award" during the European Festival Awards ceremony presented by the Eurosonic Festival and YOUROPE. This award for innovation in crowd management and safety rewards Paléo Festival Nyon for putting together a project for surveillance based on a map projection of events that are likely to happen during the event.


Swiss Nightlife Award (2013)

Paléo won the Swiss Nightlife Award for best "Big Event".

 

Recognition by the WWF: Paléo Festival Nyon champion in terms of environmental protection (2009)

An exhaustive study conducted at 21 major cultural and sporting events by the WWF placed Paléo Festival Nyon among the five leaders in terms of environmental protection.


MIDEM Green World Award (2008)

Together with the Danish festival, Roskilde, and the North American company Live Earth, Paléo was awarded the MIDEM Green World Award, in Cannes in recognition of its environmental policy.


"Green'n'clean Award" accreditation (2007)

Paléo received the "Green'n'clean Award" accreditation, awarded by Yourope, the European society of festivals.


NiceFuture Attitude award (2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008)

The Festival won the "Prix NiceFuture Attitude", organised by the NiceFuture.com organisation in partnership with the ISPA (Swiss institute for the prevention of alcoholism and other forms of addiction). This prize is awarded to organisations in recognition of their criteria in the areas of environmental protection and health.


Public Award (2007)

At the 12th Swiss Logistics Awards ceremony, Paléo received the Public Award prize in recognition of its efforts to provide services in the general public interest.


Swiss Ethical Prize (2007)

The Festival received the Swiss Ethical Prize. Organised since 2005, by the High School of Engineering and Management in Yverdon-les-Bains (HEIG-VD). This award, which is the responsibility of the special Unit for research and advice on business ethics and organisational behaviour (Unité e²co), is in recognition of ethical approaches to management. Businesses of all sizes can apply as well as public authorities and town councils. 


Gégé d'Or for "food" and "campsite" (2006)

The Urban Time editions awarded Paléo Festival the "Gégé d'or" in the categories "food" and "camping".


Arthur Award (1999 and 2002)

The ILMC, which represents professionals from the entertainment field, awards the Arthur Award for best international festival to Paléo Festival on two occasions.
