Each year, Paléo joins forces with a series of charitable partners active in the fields of sustainability, youth and a more egalitarian world. The Festival invites the public to discover and support these positive initiatives.
Greenpeace Switzerland
Bold action for the planet and its people
Greenpeace is a global movement for the protection of the environment. It began in 1971 with its very first sea expedition protesting nuclear testing by the United States. Around the world, the organisation is recognised for the dedication of its activists who take a stand against polluters, whether on the high seas, deep in tropical rainforests or wherever on the planet.
Greenpeace Switzerland is committed to ensuring that the country’s contribution to protecting the climate and biodiversity is in line with both its capabilities and the environmental footprint of its major economic sectors. The organisation focuses in particular on the urgent need to cut carbon emissions, holding political leaders to account to keep up, and step up, efforts in the energy transition while avoiding a dangerous return to nuclear power.
Another key concern is the way we consume. Greenpeace Switzerland zeroes in on the environmental impact of the retail and food industries and also carries out wide-ranging field actions to combat plastic pollution.

Zaila
Each year, Paléo collaborates with a local organisation linked to the Village du Monde’s featured region. In 2025, the spotlight is on the Moroccan association Zaila!
Zaila works to preserve the natural and human diversity of the Sahara. Its main goal is to protect this sublime yet fragile ecosystem through alternative solutions to pollution, a desert protection charter, and the organisation of socio-cultural activities that promote the nomadic way of life.
Active at festivals, forums, and in documentary filmmaking, Zaila raises awareness of the vital harmony between humans, wildlife and the flora of the desert. Come meet them at the Village du Monde throughout this year’s edition!
Fondation Equiléo
Created in 2009 at the initiative of Paléo Arts et Spectacles and active in the Nyon district, the Fondation Equiléo supports cultural, social and youth projects. By promoting dialogue between communities and the values of tolerance and respect, over 500 events, projects and initiatives have been supported by the foundation since it was set up, thanks in part to generous donations from the public.
